Welcome to The Oz Bicycle Club

The OZ Bicycle Club of Wichita, Kansas is one of the oldest and largest cycling clubs in the midwest. We have members from more than 59 Kansas communities and seven other states. Oz is truly a "full service" club, offering our members an array of interests. We sponsor regular touring and ATB rides. Our monthly meetings are held year-round.

Our club's biggest annual event is the Wicked Wind 100, on the weekend after Mother's Day every year. (Mark your calendars for the weekend of May 19 and 20, 2012; we'll have events Saturday and Sunday.) The Wicked Wind has grown to a "must do" ride for cyclists from all over the region. It offers something for riders of any ability, with 25-, 50-, and 100-mile routes.

  Hello fellow Ozzies. We're off to a great start in our riding season. Getting together with other Ozzies friends for the Chili ride, the Osage Prairie Trial/Tulsa ride, Douglas Dandy and the Zenda Zinger have been enjoyable and educational. We've seen many new sites and have met more club members. We have a great appreciation for the Touring chairs and the SAG volunteers. Thank you for all
you do. We also want to thank all club members for their patience and understanding during this transition period while our new volunteer chairpersons learn and execute their positions. We look forward to many more rides with our bicycling friends.

Wicked Wind 100 "Weekend", Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20, 2012

    Wicked Wind 100 has expanded to become a two day event! We are staging from Haysville, KS only 8 miles south from the center of Wichita.

Saturday May 19, 2012

Ride to Breakfast Ride 8:00am, Ride with Oz Club members to one of our favorite breakfast spots, enjoy your meal, then return to Haysville. NOT SAGGED

Family Ride 11:00am,                  Families with small children, Haysville has a great "Hike and Bike Trail." SAGGED

Velo Swap 3:00 - 6:00 PM,         Bring all your "extra" bike stuff,here's a chance to swap, buy, or sell! Who knows, maybe you have that item some one else has been looking for!

Moonlight Ride 8:30 PM,             We have ride leaders to guide you through the Kansas countryside after dark----Great fun! (bring rear flashers)

    After your busy day:

Tent camping available near the city swimming pool. The pool will not be open for swimming, but showers and restrooms are open.

R.V. Camping is welcome, but there are NO HOOK-UPS, there is a dump station.

    Sunday May 20, 2012 Wicked Wind 100, has added a metric century to the tour this year to go with the 25, 50 and 100 mile routes we have always done.
